Thursday

Opening Night at San Felipe de Austin Historic Site, 220 2nd St, San Felipe, TX 77473
Featured Film: San Antonio & The Alamo documentary hosted by Stephen J Hardin

7:00 – access to seating and film screening area; time to socialize and select snacks

7:30 – introductions and overview of the historic site and the film screening planned for the night

7:45 – "Lillian," a short drama written and directed by Molly Vernon

8:00– Selected segments of "San Antonio & The Alamo," a documentary written, produced, and directed by Mike Vance

9:30 – Question and answer session with Mike Vance and site superintendent, Bryan McAuley


Join us for an alfresco movie and dining experience in the Villa de Austin! The opening act is "Lillian," a dramatic short film set during the Runaway Scrape. Afterward, you'll enjoy select portions of the award-winning documentary "San Antonio & The Alamo" with the film's writer, producer, and director Mike Vance on hand, providing commentary and answering questions.

The Farmers Hotel will serve as the setting for beer and wine service. The replica 1830s bake oven will be fired up so that guests can purchase ready-made pizzas to be cooked and sliced on demand. Local scouts will be selling popcorn, and the Friends of San Felipe de Austin State Historic Site will also be on hand with snacks and drinks for sale. 

The event begins at 7 PM and concludes before 10. This event is donation-based, so pay what you can. (Regular museum admission is $10.)

Seating is not guaranteed, and the venue is outdoors at night, so bring a headlamp or flashlight, blanket and lawn chairs, and some bug spray. This experience is best for those 13 years of age and older. 

Friday

9:30-11:55 am 

Sealy High School Culinary Competition at Sealy High School. These high schoolers will be given a list of ingredients they must use and a pantry of items they may. You will be able to view this competition live streamed from our Facebook page. only.

11:00 am - 10:30 pm

Film Festival at Liedertafel Hall - Enjoy many films throughout the day summited by film artists. There will be discussions with the film creators and a VIP tent for meet and greets. Tickets are available at the doors if seats are still available. Thank you Laura Krome for being our curator and helping to put together a great selection of films.

Saturday

Enjoy Free Shuttle Services from 9-4 pm.  Masks Required while on the shuttle ONLY.

 

Fun will be enjoyed all around town on Saturday. The streets will be shut down within our downtown district (Main Street).  The stage is sponsored by Chris Wallace.  Chris will also provide Sound equipment and will perform as a DJ for entertainment in between acts. There will be artists in the streets, live murals, films, and so much more. Thank you Texas Disposal Systems, Erin Krampitz Designs & Bliss on Main for your support.


8:30 am

Family-friendly special film screening of The Adam’s Family 2 at the Liedertafel Hall. This is a free event, space is limited. Donations are appreciated. This screening is sponsored by The Burchell Family.

 

9:00 am - 4:00 pm 

Sealy’s downtown Main Street will be shut down for vendors, artists, and much more.

  • Stroll and shop with our vast selection of artists and vendors that will be in attendance

  • Enjoy free access to explore the Sealy Historical Park in downtown Sealy where they will be playing a rotation of short films (historical, dance interpretive and photography). Come and go as you please.

  • Watch artists perform live murals -ArtByThomasWafalo , SquidvoidDaltondoodles, TylerKay

  • Grab a can of spray paint and add your flair to the community mural with Mural Supply Co

 

10:00 am - 11:00 am

  • Sealy Band and Choir will take the stage by the Clock Tower

  • The Texas Theater Company - Skits about- “A show on the verge of being cancelled and crazy contestants perform”. Shenanigans! 4- Youth troupe- ticketed event at the Texas Theater ($10 for all skits)

 

10:30 am - 10:00 pm

Flash Mob Dance- Learn the moves on our website and meet by the clock tower to perform.

Sealy ISD Art & Appetizers will be displayed at the Sealy Trinity Lutheran Church. Take the free

shuttle over or go for a short walk to see the talented artists of Sealy. Auctioned items will raise

1:00 pm - 2:00 pm

  • Acoustic performance Will Carter downtown by the clock tower. Will Carter is a very talented singer/ song writer from Katy, Texas.

Advanced Culinary Arts Competition across the street from the Texas Theater. Watch our timed competition as our contestants are given a gift card to Bill’s Grocery Store to create a dish that could win them a $2,798 knife made locally by Phenix Knives and Four Elements Smithy.

Novice Culinary Arts Competition across the street from the Texas Theater. This competition will consist chefs with no formal training given a few specific items and a pantry of fun to see who can make the best dish. Judging will include creativity, taste, & appearance.

 

4:00-5:30pm

Sealy ISD Theatre students will be performing in the Texas Theatre. We will present an assortment of works ranging from solo acting performances to group theatre numbers

6:00 pm - 8:30 pm

Awards and Closing Ceremony- Please join us at Sealy Flower Station to recognize the hard works and talent at BOTA. The Sluss Shack will be providing finger food. 128 Main Street.
